This 36-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, its provincial affiliates, and partner Indigenous organizations to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality.
An Environmental Scan will be conducted analyzing previous projects completed by CAP, its affiliates and other organizations. Analysis of these projects will focus on strengths and weaknesses in terms of their sustainability and impact. Progress reports and evaluations will be examined to determine how long each project was sustained (was it sustained once funding ceased, how long it had an impact and approximately how many people were impacted). CAP will also look at similarities and differences between strategies used by projects with a high sustainability rate and high impact in the community versus projects that did not. These findings will be documented to demonstrate what project elements tend to result in greater sustainability and higher impact versus those which do not. The results may also reveal strategies specific to national, provincial or local organizations.
